Remember the last time when you looked for a job in the newspaper? You may hardly remember that! That’s because Human Resource Management industry has taken a big step forward adopting information technologies over the last decade.
Job portals and messengers allowed HR professionals to look for prospects far beyond their city or even state. Sadly, but sometimes a tech gap between Recruiters and Prospects occurs to be too big.
Resume Lift is aimed to fix this by offering a comprehensive platform. It simplifies all aspects of modern job search. Resume Lift provides free resume building tool and valuable career advice from experts, that greatly increase chances of getting a job.

Resume Lift consists of two parts:
The Website is a simple and clear landing page. It is built with one goal in mind: onboard users and forward them to the resume builder itself. For this purpose, we put a simple call to action button and three triggers that play around targeted audience pains.
Resume Management interface can be accessed through the Account Tab or by clicking Build You Resume button on the Website. From here a user can access any function of the platform.
We put a quick access bar in order to streamline user flow. It holds the most important features of the platform including paid options:
Resume Builder
Cover Letter Builder
Ask an Expert Feature
Export Options
Step 1
You can choose the design of your resume and then fill in general information about yourself: Name, Career and Sub-career field.
Step 2
We used an information block as a basic structural unit. Each resume can consist of as many as ten blocks. During the second step, you can edit these blocks as well as information within those blocks by using various customization options.
Step 3
Your resume will be automatically processed by the system and saved in your account upon completion of the editing stage.
A free account allows users to store only one resume at a time and export it only in .txt format. Upgraded version allows users to export their resumes in all popular formats: Adobe PDF, MS Word, and Rich Text.
UX & Design
We were informed that a large part of platform's targeted audience has previous experience in the creation of their resumes using Google Doc templates. Therefore, we advised our client to use the same Material Design that is used across all Google’s services.
You may notice that basic UI elements and the overall system behavior mimic Google’s ecosystem. This was made on purpose in order to draw additional audience and facilitate their transition to Resume Lift.
The other great thing about Material Design is that it focuses on multi-platform flexibility and dynamic UI, which comes in handy when you think about your mobile users.
Technologies
We decided to develop Landing Page first and then turn all our attention to the Back end of the service - Resume Management functionality and Resume Builder specifically.
It took us about 100 hours to get done all front end tasks, which gave our client some time to work on content and copyright materials. Meanwhile, we get to the development of the backend.
We’ve managed to shorten the most intense development part roughly in half thanks to our previous experience in development of Template Builders. As a result, we finished the project in 4 months.

Altamira went the extra mile to make me happy and quickly fixed any issues. Any challenges that arose because of the time difference between the two parties were overcome by additional efforts made by Altamira to ensure customer satisfaction. They provided end-to-end design and execution of the project.
